The Tiny Sparrow Foundation
Yesterday, I received some wonderful news. I was selected to be an affiliate photographer with the Tiny Sparrow Foundation!
What is the Tiny Sparrow Foundation you ask? Well, let me tell you all about this amazing organization!
The foundation began in 2009 by a fellow photographer and mother, Lidia Grigorean of Oh So Posh Photography. She came across a blog about a little five year old girl who was battling brain cancer. She traveled from Texas to Arizona to meet the family and photograph them with their daughter. Her experience inspired her to start The Tiny Sparrow Foundation in order help families through the gift of photography. Her goal was to provide these families of children with life threatening illnesses with a book of beautiful family memories that reflected their child's journey of hope, courage and inspiration.
The reason the non-profit organization is called "Tiny Sparrow" is because the word tiny refers to the little children and the word sparrow means "hope" in Lidia's native language, Romanian.
The foundation screens and selects qualified photographers and then pairs them with families that have qualified to be part of the program. The family receives the images from the session along with a beautifully designed coffee table book of meaningful and lasting memories.
